J.C. and Rollie
creating a heritage brand
The J.C. and Rollie brand is inspired by a time when work was a craft, and every detail was purposeful. We incorporated several nods to Hallmark through out the brand including a reference to the “OK Committee” that would gather in J.C. Hall’s office to review that day’s output of greeting cards. If the proofs met the quality and taste standards of Mr. Hall, he would sign the card “OK J.C”, signaling the approval of the artwork. To capture an authentic casual feel we researched the materials, colors and textures found in a traditional mercantile. Warm tones evoke nostalgia, while pops of red and modern typefaces elevate the brand.
